Dried Lemon Peel, Granulated

Granulated Lemon Peel is a convenient way to add tart, tangy, citrusy flavor and aroma to any recipe. Granulated lemon peel is the dried zest of the lemon, use in recipes that call for dried lemon peel or fresh "lemon zest".

Use in marinades or rubs for a bright citrus flavor. Sprinkle onto rice, vegetables or fish to brighten flavor. Whisk dried lemon peel into vinaigrettes or creamy dressings. Include in baking for tartness and brightness; use granulated lemon peel to flavor muffins, cookies, cakes, desserts and mulled drinks. Mix in with cheese sauces to lighten the dish.

Rehydrate using 3 parts water to 1 part peel, let stand 15 minutes. Substitute one-third dry peel for fresh zest in recipes.
