Anise Seed, Ground

Anise Seed is highly aromatic with the sweet warm taste of licorice. Native to the Mediterranean, Anise is one of the oldest known spice plants.

Use in both savory and sweet cooking.  Add ground Anise to soups, stews and curries. Use to flavor fish and shellfish poaching liquids. Blend with cream cheese for dips and spreads. Flavor beverages, fruit cobblers, sweet and rye breads, pies, cakes, cookies and stewed fruit.
