Recipe: Caprese Salad

Fresh, delicious and oh so easy to make, caprese salad is the perfect summer salad that mixes up in no time. It stands up to warm weather picnics and outdoor entertaining. It's easy to transport to parties. We didn't even include specific ingredient measurements with our recipe because it's also the perfect salad when you want to mix enough for one or two or four or you need enough to bring to a potluck.

Cherry Tomatoes*
Fresh Mozzarella Pearls*
Fresh Basil Leaves
A L'Olivier Extra Virgin Olive Oil Infused with Basil
Cavalli Balsamic Vinegar
Esprit du Sel, Fleur de Sel
Trade Winds Spice Company Fine Sarawak Pepper or freshly ground Black Tellicherry Peppercorns

Cut some or all of the cherry tomatoes in half. Break or chiffonade the fresh basil into small pieces.

In a serving bowl add cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls and basil. Toss gently to combine.

Drizzle with A L'Olivier basil infused olive oil and Cavalli balsamic vinegar.

Sprinkle with fleur de sel and pepper.

Serve immediately or refrigerate up to an  hour before serving.

* We like to mix about equal parts (by sight) of the cherry tomatoes and the mozzarella pearls, but it's up to you, some people like more tomatoes, others like more cheese. The best way is the way you like it!
