Le Saunier de Camargue Fleur de Sel results from the sea, the sunshine and the Mistral Winds. It is a natural product from the south of France; a hand-harvested sea salt collected by workers in the Aigues-Mortes salt marshes at dawn using ancestral techniques to scrape only the moist, flaky, and textured kernels that form on the top of the salt beds. This delicate fleur de sel has a natural white color comprised of larger kernels with a crunchy texture and more mineral complexity than table salt. A vital ingredient in southern French cooking, use Camargue Fleur de Sel as a "finishing" salt rather than for cooking; sprinkle on desserts, fresh salads, vegetables, eggs, filet mignon, fish, duck or other cooked dishes to add flavor as well as texture.
