L'Estornell, the first super-premium Spanish EVOO to be marketed in the United States, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. L'Estornell Arbequina is produced from under-ripe Arbequina olives, this green-gold fruity extra virgin olive oil has a slight almond taste and a light pepper finish. Perfect for dressing greens, soups, appetizers and dipping fresh bread. Wonderful for grilling and roasting vegetables.
Please note for years this olive oil was known as Lerida Extra Virgin Olive Oil and bottled in a squat square bottle. In 2013, because of L'Estornell's anniversary celebration, the package was changed to a green round tall bottle. Most recently, the bottle was changed to be white with black graphics.
